Help with paying the Supporting People charge
You may be able to get help with paying your Supporting People charge. Over half of our sheltered housing residents get housing benefit to meet all or part of their rent; and this means they also get their Supporting People charge paid for them in full, as long as we have evidence of the housing benefit entitlement.
Even if you don’t get housing benefit, you may be able to get help towards your Supporting People charge, by having what’s called a “fairer charging assessment”. This help comes from Dorset County Council.
For more information about the help you can get through fairer charging, please contact Dorset County Council Supporting People team on 01305 225902 or e mail supportingpeople@dorsetcc.gov.uk or visit their website www.dorsetforyou.com/supportingpeople
If you have any queries about your payments to Magna, please contact Deniz Erdogan in our Income Management team on (01305) 216067.
