Decorating Schemes
At Magna we operate an annual discretionary decoration scheme.
This scheme helps elderly people and those who have a disability to have a room in their home decorated.
The type of work carried out under this scheme includes:
· Stripping any wallpaper
· Preparing all surfaces including minor repairs to walls or woodwork
· Painting ceiling, walls and woodwork
· Hanging of wallpaper (resident to supply any wallpaper)
Don’t worry if you are unable to move your furniture before the decorators arrive, we will move these for you. All we ask is that you remove and pack all small easily moved objects such as ornaments, vases, books, paintings, photographs and crockery.
All carpets/flooring and furniture remaining in the room will be fully covered while decorations are carried out.
If successful in your application, the scheme allocates one room of your choice per household. We accept one application per year and will only carry out decoration of one room every five years.
In the event of the number of applicants exceeding the capacity of the scheme we will prioritise applicants. All applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application.
