A sizzling open day for Friar's Lodge, Exeter

Residents, staff and representatives from partner agencies enjoyed a barbecue in the garden of Friar’s Lodge, Exeter, on Wednesday 1 September.

The 19th century merchant’s house is used as supported accommodation for young parents who are homeless.

Earlier this year, Magna Housing Association, which runs Friar’s Lodge, received an award from the National Housing Federation for successful working partnerships with developers.

Exeter-based builders Mi-space provided funds and manpower to transform the garden, which now features decking and a children’s play area.
