Fullers Follies say thank you for the music.

Magna residents say ‘thank you for the music’ as they take to the dance floor every Tuesday afternoon for a gentle workout to music.

The “Fullers Follies”, as they’re more frequently called, have just celebrated 10 years of dancing together.  During the ‘fun’ sessions the Follies do gentle exercise routines to music, guided by Amanda Fogg, their experienced dancing instructor.  Amanda commented, “The gentle exercise routine to music is very enjoyable for all involved and really gets everyone up on their feet”.

Last year the group performed at “time to move 09”, a national conference in Taunton, celebrating older people dancing.  They won an award and certificates for their efforts.

Denny Hughes, one of the Follies and resident at Magna Housing Association’s sheltered scheme, Fullers Piece, said, “Our ages range from 50 to 90 and we are very lucky to have Amanda to instruct us”.  Denny continued, “Over the years we have paid several visits to local residential home, Sydney Gale, in Bridport to entertain the residents”.
