TSA say we've put in "a considerable amount of work" to implement recommendations

Inspectors review visit says we've made good progress

Our regulator, the Tenant Services Authority (TSA), decides which housing organisations are inspected.  The Audit Commission (AC) then undertakes inspections on behalf of the TSA.  We were inspected by the AC last spring and subsequently wrote an action plan to put right their findings.

David Aldwinckle, MHA director, said, “We have been working hard on our action plan all year and had a return visit from the regulator in December.

“Overall they were satisfied that the majority of the actions have now been complete.  All other actions are on target to be completed within deadlines.  I’d like to thank everyone for working so hard to make sure we achieved everything.

“The TSA mentioned some minor points that they felt needed more attention but were still able to tell us that they were satisfied with what has been done so far.“

The inspectors said they could see MHA had put a considerable amount of work into implementing the inspection recommendations and progress had been made, with some already complete.

The rest of the recommendations are currently being completed and the inspectors will visit us again in March to 'catch up' with progress.

The inspectors will continue to monitor our progress until all of the recommendations have been implemented and have thanked staff for being open, enthusiastic and helpful.
